Leadership Wyoming Update

The Cheyenne session was one of the best..great alumni attendance at the Union Pacific Depot reception! Thank you Chuck Bohlen, Pam Malone, and your crew from Laramie County Community College. Thanks also to Randy Bruns and Cheyenne LEADS, plus Rick Kaysen and Chuck Bohlen for fund raising.

Cheyenne also was great because the Legislature approved funding for Leadership Wyoming–$30,000 a year for the next two years. The vote in the Senate was 24-5-1; in the House it was near unanimous and no vote recording. Please thank the leadership of Rae Lynn Job along with John Barasso, Dave Edwards, and John Hastert as well as legislator LW graduates Rosie Berger, Roy Cohee, Jayne Mockler, and Tom Walsh. Thanks to these leaders and your calls to, and conversations with, legislators this vital effort was successful.

And speaking of success, Brent Hathaway, Class 2004, has been named Dean of the College of Business at the University of Wyoming. Congratulations Brent! Also, Dixie Roberts did a fine job talking about the Health Care Commission at Business Day at the Legislature and with the Wyoming Business Alliance Steering Committee.

Graduation is set for Sheridan April 30-May 1. Look for more detasils.

Lastly, Michele Haygood is our new Leadership Wyopming Administrative Assistant. She’s doing a great job.

Best regards,

Bill Schilling
