It’s good for the economy when small businesses and entrepreneurs are successfully bringing new products and services to market while supporting high-paying jobs. And that’s a big part of why TechLink helps small businesses learn about the government’s research and inventions and the technology transfer process used to access them. Whether they use our services or not, we want entrepreneurs and small businesses to know they can leverage the public’s investment in basic and applied research conducted at federal laboratories.

I’m starting this month’s edition of the Pulse by putting the spotlight on the Air Force Research Laboratory, which recently invented a high-performance powdered meal replacement that quickly dissolves in water, making it perfect for reusable water bottles or in a hydration bladder.
