Ignite Missoula 4.0 Proposals Now Submittable through Submittable – Event on 4/13 – Apply before 3/30.

In order to efficiently accept and curate the proposals for Ignite Missoula v 4.0 http://matr.submishmash.com/submit , they’ve chosen to go with the Application Manager powered by Submittable .

Submittable http://www.submittable.com/ is a Missoula-based software company whose platform is used by 1000s of universities, publishers and businesses for accepting and curating digital files: applications, manuscripts, business plans, and resumes. The cloud-based software fixes a problem while generating additional revenue streams for organizations dealing with an overload of submissions.

Co-founder & President, Michael FitzGerald says "We were thrilled to see BarCamp http://matr.net/article-48533.html go with Submittable for curating Ignite proposals and business plans. While we serve thousands of clients outside the state, it always feels good when it fills a need for a crucial and forward-looking local organizations."

Some of the other great local organizations using the system include the University of Montana, Missoula Art Museum, the Missoula Downtown Association and restaurants like The SilkRoad, Café Dolce, and the Catalyst.

Russ Fletcher, founder of http://www.MATR.net says "Accepting application by email was chaos. There’s no way to sort, filter, or efficiently store them. There’s also no easy way to have multiple stakeholders review, vote and comment on the applications. Submittable makes that all possible. It’s a Software as a Service, so there’s no install and no IT or hosting necessary. It just works. Amazing this technology is growing in our own backyard."

Submittable was started in Missoula, MT in 2009. Since then over 3000 organizations and publishers including GOOD Magazine, University of Montana, MIT, Harvard University, and NYU, have used their software for accepting and curating resumes, applications, manuscripts, videos, and audio files while creating new revenue sources. Submittable has received press in the New York Times, New Yorker Magazine, and Atlantic Monthly. Recently they were listed by O’Reiley’s as one of Publishing’s Tools of Change. They’re on target to do 2M in revenue in just their second year in existence.
