Happy 30th Birthday (that’s 210 in dog years) to Bozeman, Montana’s West Paw

August 1, 1996. Spencer Williams launches West Paw (then known as Pet Pals, the West Paw name came a couple years later and organized it as a Certified B Corp) with a handful of cat and dog sewn toy designs. He dreamed of building a company that built things–not just great products, but careers, communities, and joyful connections–with the purpose of creating value for people and the planet, right here in Montana.

Fast forward to today as we celebrate 30 years in business, still operating with the same purpose and values, making the world’s best dog toys and treats from our home in Bozeman, Montana, and with Spencer’s leadership guiding the way through each of those 30 years.

Spencer, however, will be the first to say it’s not about him–30 years happens because of the people you surround yourself with, the teamwork that turns ideas into reality, and the customers and dogs who keep coming back to us for their next favorite toy.

So thank you to everyone who has worked for us and with us, to everyone who has bought a West Paw product, and to each and every dog and human who has experienced a joyful connection because of our toys and treats. We couldn’t have done it without you!
