Governor, what’s in your wallet? Montana receives ‘F’ in disclosure

Washington Gov. Christine Gregoire (D) is required to divulge more about her and her husband’s personal finances than is any other governor in the country, while citizens in Idaho, Michigan, Utah and Vermont have no rights to view any information on their governor’s investments or business ties, according to a new report http://www.publicintegrity.org/StateDisclosure/report.aspx?aid=925 .

Montana receives ‘F’ in disclosure

The Center for Public Integrity gave Montana an “F” for its weaknesses and loopholes in personal financial public-disclosure laws for governors.

Montana got 53 out of 100 points to rank 39th among the 50 states in ratings released Thursday by the center, a nonprofit, nonpartisan Washington, D.C., group.
