Governor Bullock Invites Film Production Companies to Montana

Governor Bullock encourages companies seeking a new film location due to Georgia anti-choice legislation to consider Montana’s new film tax credits

Governor Steve Bullock today sent a letter to film production companies seeking alternative film locations to consider filming in Montana after Georgia passed a measure significantly restricting a woman’s ability to make her own healthcare decisions.

Film companies including Netflix and Disney have said they are reconsidering filming in Georgia if the legislation goes into effect. In addition to his strong record defending a woman’s right to make her own healthcare decisions in Montana, Governor Bullock highlighted Montana’s inviting business climate and new generous tax credits for productions filmed in the state.

“Knowing that our state shares your core values, I encourage you to choose Montana as a supporting character in your next production. If you decide to pursue filming in Montana, you’ll have my full support to make doing business here simple, affordable, and an award-winning experience you can only find under the Big Sky,” Governor Bullock said in the letter.
