Gooding, ID receives Community Development Block Grant for Kiefer Built plant

Iowa-based livestock and cargo trailer manufacturer Kiefer Built LLC has moved one step closer to opening a plant in Gooding.

Gov. Dirk Kempthorne on Tuesday awarded a $300,000 Idaho Community Development Block Grant to the city of Gooding, which will help Gooding’s Urban Renewal Agency purchase the 119,000-square-foot former Arkoosh building as well as eight acres in the city’s industrial park.
