GatherBoard launches App – Curate Your Personal Community Event Experience

With 14-Montana calendars and 33-sites (and counting) across North America, GatherBoard <http://www.gatherboard.com> is happy to share that you can now have a personally curated experiene with your home ‘Board.  Although all GatherBoard sites are responsively designed, with “no app necessary,” this new offering puts the power of the calendar in the end-users’ hands.

Free to download for both Apple and Android users, the GatherBoard app allows you to jump to any of the 33-‘Boards, set viewing choices for each board, get event details with mapping and transportation options, share and save events, and more.

When sharing about the move to develop an app, GatherBoard’s CEO and co-founder Molly Bradford shared, “We found ourselves missing out on larger communities because the calendars were getting very full and busy.  Even in our flagship city, MissoulaEvents.net could have up to 50 events on one day. Now, with the app, you can see only what you want in ‘My Feed’ and toggle to ‘All’ at any time. The app allows us to expand to larger markets. In addition, you can jump to other cities as you travel around Montana and other GatherBoard supported areas.”

The app was originally created as part of a Univeristy of Montana Computer Science capstone class, and finished off with a collaboration between GatherBoad, GeoFli’s Nick Shontz and recent UM graduate Jordan Purington.

At GatherBoard, we believe the highest acheivement for Tech is Tech that promotes real human connections.  When humans are in the same room toeghter, this is now a place of most potential. A GatherBoard calenar, and now the app, does just this.  Download GatherBoard today and get connecting!
