Frontier Airlines adding more flights, new destinations to Missoula airport

Bear Paw Development Corporation is a private non-profit organization created for the purpose of administering programs to help improve regional economic conditions in Hill, Blaine, Liberty, Chouteau and Phillips Counties and the Fort Belknap and Rocky Boy's Indian Reservations.

Tourism in the Garden city is thriving, with Missoula International airport announcing a 18 percent increase of travelers in October.

According to Airport Deputy Director Brian Ellestad the 18 percent increase means the airport saw 11,000 more passengers compared to October 2017.

Ellestad said in June, American Airlines added more flights to and from Missoula. The increase in travelers reflects positive economic health and growth in tourism across the state.

"We continue to see airfare dropping due to competition in our market, now is the time to be booking your winter and spring travel as airfare continues to be priced at the lowest level in years," Ellestad said.
