Florida Polo company, Polo Gear considers move to Wyoming

The MDT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program encourages and supports the participation of companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in transportation contracts.

The Ranchester Town Council unanimously approved a resolution backing a Wyoming Business Council grant to help bring a Florida polo equipment company to northern Wyoming.

Jeanette Sassoon, vice president of Wellington, Fla.-based Polo Gear, said the company was looking to move to Ranchester, just south of the Montana line on Interstate 90. A handful of Polo Gear’s Florida employees would move with the company, but Sassoon said she anticipated hiring 20 to 25 employees locally.
