Film Crew Highlights Glasgow, Fort Peck in Montana Tourism Campaign

A small film crew visited Glasgow, Fort Peck, and the surrounding areas last week to capture footage for a new tourism campaign by the Montana Department of Commerce.
The project is part of a statewide initiative to promote travel and business in Montana, with a focus this year on highlighting the charm and appeal of rural communities. Footage gathered during the visit will be featured on VisitMT.com and used in advertising campaigns across the state, as well as nationally and internationally.
“The goal of Commerce’s content is to promote rural and under-visited areas of our state to better support Montana’s businesses and stimulate economic growth in those communities,” said Mitch Staley, Chief Marketing Officer for the Montana Department of Commerce. “Our team produces content that shares the people, places, and stories of Montana, with Montanans being the focus.”
The campaign is part of a broader branding effort to represent the people who call Montana home. By encouraging travel across all parts of the state-not just traditional tourist hotspots-the campaign aims to support local businesses, attract new opportunities, and tell the stories of communities that help define Montana’s identity.
