Energy Data Management Workshop, 8/27, Missoula

NorthWestern Energy, the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA), Ravalli Electric, and the Montana Department of Environmental Quality are sponsoring a hands-on workshop on Energy Data Management in Missoula on Tuesday, August 27, at the Hilton Garden Inn.

The all-day workshop is intended for facility operators and maintenance staff, managers and executives, and system and process engineers. The training presents methods, tools, and resources to analyze energy use. Attendees will work in a collaborative environment to evaluate energy drivers and create statistically significant models to inform energy efficiency decisions. Attendees will gain new understanding of their company’s energy performance using best practices and basic statistical approaches and be able to develop an energy model and dashboard.

This training is part of the Northwest Regional Industrial Training project funded by NEEA and tuition has been substantially subsidized by more than 80 percent to make it available in Montana and the Northwest. The tuition of $139 is waived for qualifying NorthWestern Energy customers. CEUs of 0.7 are available through Washington State University. Participants are required to have basic Excel proficiency and will be provided EMTools to load on their laptop in advance of the workshop. No background in statistics is required.
