Conference On Sustainability & Higher Education- Portland – October 21-23, 2004

EFS West is pleased to announce its Sustainability & Higher Education Conference, October 21-23, 2004 at the University of Portland, and to issue the first Call for Abstracts (attached and below). Please help us distribute this to all who might be interested in attending. We are expecting over 250 participants from throughout the U.S. and Canada, and from every sector of the university in addition to nonprofits and businesses interested in higher education.

Also attached is a tentative Schedule for the conference. Be aware that speakers and events may change slightly over the next few months. Further information and a registration form can be found on the conference website, accessed from EFS West’s home page at http://www.efswest.org

We sincerely hope you can attend this conference and participate in the field trips, sessions, and special events. With an excellent line-up of invited speakers, plenty of time for informal interaction, discussion, and reflection, and an emphasis on moving forward and setting a vision for higher education, the conference promises to be a unique and fun opportunity for those interested in sustainability.
