Montana’s SBDC network supported more than 2,300 jobs in 2019, its thirtieth year, through its work to assist small business growth and development. The Montana SBDC aided in creating 61 new companies in the last year and helped clients obtain more than 100 loans, which resulted in almost $29 million in capital infusion. The network also hosted over 1,100 clients at training events across the state.

Montana’s SBDC network is headquartered at the Department of Commerce and supports ten host organizations across the state.

“The work Montana SBDCs have done over the last year demonstrates the impact these entrepreneurs and their businesses have on their communities,” Commerce Director Tara Rice said, “Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and the SBDC network is here to meet businesses where they’re at.”
