Butte schools’ fiber optics switch featured in nationwide magazine

The Butte school district made the Jan. 14 issue of the national magazine "Education Week," which delves into the district’s recent switch to high-speed fiber-optic cable.

The article also dissects the need for such "rural" towns as Butte to secure faster Internet and phone connections that will allow students to work on virtual desktops, hook up to videoconference lessons and collaborate easier with other classrooms.
