Governor welcomes Innovate Montana Symposium to Butte
The fourth annual Innovate Montana Symposium is taking place in Butte this week, which means state and local leaders, along with entrepreneurs from across the state and country, will be listening to a lineup of speakers who organizers hope will get them so pumped they’ll feel like charging through a brick wall.
Although the symposium officially got underway Monday with trolley tours of the Mining City and an awards dinner for Montana Ambassadors, the event began in earnest Tuesday afternoon with a welcoming speech by Gov. Steve Bullock.
Bullock noted that this week is the first time the symposium has been held outside of Billings.

Butte hosts annual Innovate Montana Symposium
Butte is hosting the fourth annual Innovate Montana Symposium, the first time the event has been held in the Mining City.
The event is a networking opportunity for local business owners and entrepreneurs. It also allows them to collaborate on business and marketing strategies.
“Butte’s a town that’s been innovative throughout our entire history in the mining industry,” said Jon Wick, owner and founder of 5518 Designs.
