BLDC February Newsletter – Business Recruitment Update

Did you know that the population of Silver Bow County increased by 935 people between 2021-2022? In contrast our population increased 933 people in the entire decade between 2010-2020. In 2022 our population ticked up to 36,068 for the first time since the 1980s. The times, they are a changin’ in the mining city.

Last week BLDC, BSB, and the State of Montana hosted Cenate, a Norwegian company looking to set up operations in the US. Butte is currently in the running along with Richland, Washington for the placement of this facility. The mining city remains a strong candidate for their site selection. BLDC is working directly with the company, as well as Butte-Silver Bow, and the State of Montana to bring this project home to Butte!
