Billings airport takes its own approach to attracting airlines

A little more than a year ago, former Gov. Brian Schweitzer plopped down in the guest chair beside TV host David Letterman and bragged up the Big Sky state to a national audience. Although his trip to New York included handing out Montana-made beef jerky and huckleberry jam, Schweitzer said his main reason for visiting was to promote direct flights connecting Newark, N.J., and Bozeman.
