70 high school performers celebrate MCT milestone – ‘East Broadway Rocks’

Since its inception four decades ago, Missoula Children’s Theatre http://mctinc.org/ has lived by its name, putting children literally at the center of the company’s identity. Now a cornerstone of Missoula’s thriving arts community, MCT has built a unique reputation for its residency tours, which bring theater professionals to towns across the country and around the world for quick and inclusive productions of fanciful, original adaptations of familiar stories, performed by the children of each community they visit.

So when it came time to celebrate the company’s 40th birthday, the artistic staff at MCT figured there was only one proper way to go about it: With an original musical that looks back on the company’s history, performed entirely by area students.
