COMPANY TOUTS ITS FOCUS ON OPEN-SOURCE SOFTWARE AS DEVELOPER CONFERENCES GET UNDER WAY IN S.F.
Sun Microsystems, the company that said it was the dot in dot-com during the tech boom of the late ’90s, is trying to woo the start-up community a second time around.
But this time, it has free software and cheaper computer servers to appeal to the more cost-conscious Web 2.0 companies.
