Small businesses get low-cost legal help from big names like Intel, Perkins Coie

Launched in 2006 with a grant from the city of Portland, The Lewis & Clark Law School’s Small Business Legal Clinic http://www.lclark.edu/law/centers/small_business_legal_clinic/ offers two primary programs: legal advice from upper division law students, supervised by a clinical law professor; and the once-a-month pro bono program, staffed by volunteer attorneys from Intel, other corporations and local law firms.

Finnerty said the recession has prompted people to think about starting their own businesses.
