Report: clinical drug trials help patients, provide jobs

Clinical trials in the bioscience research industry create jobs and opportunities for people while possibly finding relief for those with chronic health issues, according to a report released Friday. In the last 14 years, researchers have conducted more than 800 drug trials in Montana, including 469 that target the nation’s most debilitating chronic diseases – asthma, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, mental illnesses and stroke, according to the report conducted by the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America.
