ILX: weathering the storm

When you are in a canoe that goes over a waterfall, all you can do is paddle and bail water.

That is where Larry Johnson saw himself nearly five years ago when his Bozeman-based technology business had to brace for a crash landing.
Johnson admits that not many companies survive the kind of downturn that hit ILX Lightwave http://www.ilxlightwave.com in 2001.

"We’ve gotten to live through what most people never live through in this industry," Johnson said.
