Feature Analyst Grant Program from Visual Learning Systems (Missoula) for Higher Education

MISSOULA, Montana – Visual Learning Systems (VLS) is pleased to announce the
Feature Analyst Grant Program for Higher Education.

Feature Analyst is the
revolutionary new software designed to easily convert imagery into maps.

The Feature Analyst Grant Program represents a potential $10 million (U.S.)
software-donation by VLS to support basic and applied research in extracting
useful information from earth imagery. VLS will provide a site-wide license
of Feature Analyst for ArcGIS and/or ERDAS IMAGINEâ to institutes that
qualify and are accepted into the grant program.

A point-of-contact at each
successful university will receive training, and VLS has conveniently set
two training sessions at San Diego State University, one on July 7th and one
on July 11th, book-ending the ESRI User Conference in San Diego.

“The response to the Grant Program has been strong,” states VLS Grant
Coordinator David Parfit. “Feature Analyst lends itself exceptionally well
to many GIS and image processing research opportunities.

VLS is pleased to
be able to remove the cost barrier to institutes of higher education, and in
turn, is excited to work with these colleges and universities on research
pertaining to feature extraction, and Feature Analyst.”
