July 21, 2008 /
An innovative program to give nursing students the confidence and personal skills to succeed in their careers is midway through its second summer at the Montana Tech campus in Butte.
Thirteen registered nursing students from programs around the state spend 10 weeks on campus attending the Academy for Advanced Nursing Workforce Solutions, or Nursing Academy. A national grant covers their room, board and tuition and also provides the students $3,400 each in scholarships.
