City Club Missoula, Historical Preservation commission to meet up on May 11

City Club Missoula http://www.cityclubmissoula.org and the Missoula Historic Preservation Commission will join hands for a special evening forum on Friday, May 11, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Parkside at the Wilma. Find out what criteria is used to determine what is worth preserving in Missoula.

Participants will have an opportunity to say what they think should be preserved and participate in an architectural treasure hunt. The highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the 17th Annual Missoula Historic Preservation Awards. The winners will be on hand to tell stories about their projects and talk about the events and circumstances that inspired them to dedicate their efforts to documenting and preserving pieces of Montana’s history.

The Missoula Historic Preservation Awards are judged by the Missoula Historic Preservation Commission and given in mid-May during National Historic Preservation Week.

Light hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served, and wine will be available for purchase. There will be no charge to attend, but donations at the door would be appreciated to cover expenses.
