Managers who don’t listen well are doomed to failure

The ability of managers to listen is important to the long-term success of any organization, but too often, management fails to recognize this.

Operational conditions are constantly changing both inside and outside an organization. New technologies are emerging all the time, better management techniques are popping up, how best to relate to employees has a tendency to alter over time, and problems within an organization tend to surface every now and then.

Managers need to be aware of all these things. And particularly those at the top set the culture of listening for the rest of the organization.

Those who don’t listen, to at least some people, are doomed to failure.
