Storyteller Steve Saroff shared his story on stage at Tell Us Something at The Top Hat. That was back in 2013 in the days when the event was free, no one got paid and we didn’t have American Sign Language interpreters. We did, however, have a group workshop for the storytellers. The story that Steve shared on the stage was not the story that we worked on in the workshop. At Tell Us Something that night, I listened to his story for the first time, just like everyone else in the room, and I was enthralled.
