Still time to register for Rural West Initiative workshop in Oregon
Oregon Gov. Kate Brown will host and speak at WGA’s upcoming workshop of the Reimagining the Rural West Initiative in The Dalles, Oregon. The March 19-20 event will explore how rural communities manage their natural assets, as well as innovative strategies to address challenges in connectivity and affordable housing. Western Governors applaud the Trump Administration’s recent decision to withdraw its proposed Water Supply Rule. Since 2013, WGA has expressed concerns about the effects the proposed rule would have on state authority over water resources and the process through which the proposed rule had been developed.
