In correspondence with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the Western Governors’ Association submitted input regarding the western states’ critical role in building electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure. The letter specifically highlighted WGA policy resolutions relevant to the Administration’s proposed rule on the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program Minimum Standards. “The West possesses unique characteristics that pose many challenges that a one-size-fits-all approach cannot address,” the letter read. “WGA encourages the FHWA to leverage state partnerships when considering minimum standards to the NEVI Formula Program.” Read, download the letter for more details.
