Utah’s Student – Run University Venture Fund Invests In Widget Firm

A Silicon Valley-based maker of web widgets, iWidgets http://www.iwidgets.com/ , disclosed today that Salt Lake City, Utah-based University Venture Fund http://www.uventurefund.com/ is one of its new investors. University Venture Fund–an effort which pulls college students into the role of venture capital–invested alongside Menlo Park, California-based venture capital firm Opus Capital in a Series A funding worth $4.1M, iWidgets said Tuesday.
