US-Made Tabletop Humanoid Robots Now Available for Pre-Order for under $12,000

Las Vegas-based Realbotix has unveiled four tabletop humanoid robot models available for pre-order, marking a notable structural shift in consumer access to social robotics. These robots come with a subscription-based interaction model, indicating a new approach to integrating AI companions into everyday life.
The robots, named Aria, Mila, Dave, and Amar, are priced at $11,950 each, with a $199 reservation fee. Realbotix plans a limited production run of 225 tabletop units and 25 full-body humanoids next year, the latter projected to cost $59,950. Interaction requires a monthly subscription ranging from $19.99 to $199, granting between 10 and 100 hours of conversational access and AI customization. These armless torsos focus on upper-body interaction and will be delivered only in the US. CEO Andrew Kiguel framed the initiative as a response to loneliness, emphasizing companionship rather than replacement of human connection.
The Echo models will be showcased at CES 2027 in January, with order fulfillment expected early next year and shipping slated for the second half of 2027.
Subscription-based humanoid companions an intriguing option for isolated residents. The cost and connectivity requirements could pose challenges, but the appeal of accessible companionship might resonate with Montanans seeking innovative social solutions.
