University of Montana launches new program to support motivated, talented women

April Werle knew she didn’t want to be an architect the very first semester she started classes.

"I wasn’t allowed to be as creative as I wanted to be," said Werle, who is from Helena.

Now, the University of Montana student is a sophomore/junior who plans to get a double major. She’s studying media arts, and she’s also applying to get a BFA in drawing.

Target career?
