The prospect of using the Montana Legislature to attack a private business engaged in lawful activity should give serious pause. Were the legislature to speak on this issue it would have a chilling effect on property rights.

HJ 28 makes many wild claims, none of which are supported by evidence. So outlandish were some that the House Agriculture Committee was forced to strike about forty percent of it, before passing it on a party line vote.
