Simply by the nature of autonomous technology and the fact that personally owned vehicles sit idle for 90% of the time, I don’t believe these cars will be “sold”. People will subscribe to a service and have a vehicle available on demand. The multiplier impact of this will mean that many more than 33 million people will be utilizing a service. Many fewer vehicles will be on the road at any one time thus ending the focus on “carcatecture” that has controlled our built and personal lives.
