TerraServer® and MyTopo.com (Billings, Montana) Announce Exclusive Print Partnership

TerraServer® has selected MyTopo.com as the exclusive print provider of TerraServer® aerial photos, satellite images and topographic maps. Since 1997, TerraServer has offered maps and imagery online through a variety of different image and print providers. Under the new agreement, MyTopo.com will process, print and ship all TerraServer® print and poster orders.

TerraServer® will use the automated MyTopo.com API (www.mytopo.com/oem) to send customer orders to print on demand. Available print products range in size from 5 x 7 inches up to 42 x 60 inches and come in a variety of paper finishes including glossy, matte, waterproof, laminated and canvas. Additionally, the imagery and maps can be printed with a collar to include the map scale, navigation grid and additional customized text.

As part of the agreement, MyTopo.com worked with TerraServer® to develop new products and technology. A shipping calculator API has been developed to specify the exact costs of different shipping options, including next day shipping; and, a tracking system will automatically alert TerraServer® when an order has shipped to its customer. These new technologies will fully automate the ordering process and allow for significant cost savings.
