Sun Valley/Ketchum chamber of commerce could lose marketing role. Bitter dispute may close Boise visitors bureau

Bear Paw Development Corporation is a private non-profit organization created for the purpose of administering programs to help improve regional economic conditions in Hill, Blaine, Liberty, Chouteau and Phillips Counties and the Fort Belknap and Rocky Boy's Indian Reservations.

Wood River officials are proposing to strip the Sun Valley/ Ketchum Chamber and Visitors Bureau of its marketing authority, after an independent committee released a report criticizing the chamber’s effectiveness in marketing the resort communities.

Sun Valley Mayor Wayne Willich and Ketchum Mayor Randy Hall released a proposal this week that would have a new marketing board take over event planning and visitor services, as well as marketing.
