Strides made to restore passenger rail service to southern Montana

In Butte on Wednesday, federal, state, tribal and local officials convened to work towards restoring passenger rail on the Northern Hiawatha Line in Southern Montana.

The Big Sky Passenger Rail Authority hosted their annual conference at the Finlen Hotel, presenting hopeful ambitions to bring back passenger trains on the tracks that run in Montana from east of Glendive to northern Idaho, with stops including in Missoula, Butte, Bozeman and Billings.
