Sparky Superior Roping Machines moves from Conrad, Montana to Iowa

The computerize, motorized steer born in Conrad 20 years ago has moved to Rock Valley, Iowa. So have more than a dozen jobs.

Sparky Superior Roping Machines, a manufacturing operation that makes computerized steers for roping practice, and M-K Distributors, a grain handling equipment maker, are owned by Marvin and Kathy Kaptein.
