Solar Roadways Featured In Smithsonian Design Museum – “The Road Ahead”

SolarRoadways

We are delighted to announce that Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum has included Solar Roadways in their “The Road Ahead” exhibition, which opens today, December 14 in New York City.

The event runs through March 31 and features six SR3 panels with our pedestrian texture. Jeff Harris from E-Mek Tech and Solar Roadways Dayton, our first Manufacturing Partner (from Ohio) is there today to meet with visitors and answer questions.

We were also pleased to be interviewed for this excellent article about the event in Architectural Record:

“If Solar Roadways’ plan is ever implemented on a large scale, it would be the single largest advancement in street construction since the development of blacktop.”

We are happy to have the panels available for those in the New York area to visit over the next few months. For those who visit, we welcome photos to share on social media. Please send to [email protected]
