Small Business Owners Graduate from SBA Emerging Leaders Fargo Program

The MDT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program encourages and supports the participation of companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in transportation contracts.

Fifteen small business owners graduated from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Emerging Leaders program, a "mini-MBA" training initiative for local business on the brink of growth. A graduation ceremony was held October 16th with keynote address given by Matthew Mohr of Dacotah Paper Company.

This is the third year the SBA North Dakota District Office has provided the seven-month executive education series. The program includes approximately 50 hours of classroom time, connects small business owners with a network of industry experts and peers, and supports the creation of a three-year strategic growth action plan.
