SBA awards Montana nearly $500k trade grant

The U.S. Small Business Administration announced that the Montana Department of Commerce will receive a $499,488 grant to support export growth among small businesses through SBA’s competitive State Trade Expansion Program (STEP). This year’s grant amount is a $174,488 increase over the dollars awarded in 2018.

“I am pleased to see the commitment towards the expansion of small business exporters in predominantly rural states,” said SBA’s Montana District Director Wayne Gardella. “The increased funding will enable additional outreach and support into Montana’s frontier communities. We are very confident in the Montana Department of Commerce to administer this important program.”
