Public Comment Period Opens for New Montana Infrastructure Program – Public hearing scheduled for June 13

A new infrastructure program created by the 2019 Legislature and signed by the governor will support Montana communities impacted by natural resource development. The Delivering Local Assistance Program will award grants to local governments and schools to address needed facility and community infrastructure investments.

The Montana Department of Commerce is working to implement this new program, and has now opened the public comment period for the rule making process that will administer the Delivering Local Assistance Program. A draft program application and guidelines are also available for review.

The Department will host a public hearing June 13, 2019, at 1:30 p.m to consider the proposed amendment of the above-stated rule. The June 13 hearing will take place at 301 S.
