Pluck of the Irish: Belfast man finds knowledge and true love in Montana

Mark Hughes’ journey to earning a doctorate in organic chemistry from the University of Montana led him to work that would remove and harvest metals from polluted mining water. The journey also led Hughes from his home in Belfast, Northern Ireland, to Montana, where he met his future wife.
