For those of you who missed the presentation by T. Boone Pickens at the Montana Ambassadors http://www.montanaambassadors.com/ meeting last week:

Pickens Plan: T. Boone Finds Receptive Crowd for Wind-and-Gas Strategy

Oil prices have plummeted since last summer, but that isn’t stopping T. Boone Pickens. The octogenarian oilman again pitched his “Pickens Plan” http://www.pickensplan.com/ at the WSJ’s ECO:nomics conference–and won 60% approval from the C-suite audience.

Mr. Pickens’ plan–to use wind power for electricity, freeing up natural gas to run vehicles and thus lessen dependence on foreign oil–has run into headwinds since he unveiled it last summer. But what appealed to the high-powered visitors at the conference was apparently Mr. Pickens’ earnestness in believing he has found a solution to the country’s ever-growing dependence on imported oil.
