Owner Says His Tesla Was Upgraded To ‘Full Self-Driving’ Computer During HEPA Filter Replacement

It’s probably still years away, but also probably not many years, if the millions being poured into the effort are any indication.

Suprise, suprise, surpise.

That’s probably what Tesla superfan and Model S owner Sofiaan Fraval thought when took his top-of-the-line 2018 P100DL in for a fairly mundane service call – a cabin air filter replacement – and got back something quite special.

The car looked exactly the same (and perhaps smelled a bit fresher inside), but it held an important upgrade. Fraval was notified by Tesla that his car was the first privately owned Model S to receive the promised Full Self-Driving (FSD) computer upgrade – at no charge.
