Oregon Career Opportunity – Finance Director – Rural Development Initiatives

Rural Development Initiatives, a non-profit organization that assists rural community leaders to revitalize their economies, enhance livability, and strengthen their communities, is looking for a Finance Director to join our team.

This position is responsible for maintaining and strategically improving the financial systems necessary to support the organization’s overall operations. This position ensures timely financial performance information, preparation of GAAP financials for audit, and compliance with all regulatory authorities. This position maintains appropriate internal controls; analyzes and evaluates the organization’s fiscal position; and conducts short/long term financial planning to align resources with strategic plan goals. This position may supervise support staff.

To qualify, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years accounting experience including direct work experience in nonprofit organizations. Preference is given to those with a CPA, CMA, or related postgraduate studies. Position may be part-time (0.80 FTE) or full-time (1.0 FTE). Starting salary range is $50,000 to $70,000 with excellent benefits. The Finance Director will work out of our main office in Eugene.
