NSF SBIR/STTR Program Director Seminar , 08/20, Bozeman
Dr. Juan Figueroa, SBIR/STTR Program Director with the National Science Foundation (NSF), will be in Bozeman on Monday, August 20th, to speak to interested entrepreneurs and others about the NSF SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) and STTR (Small Business Technology Transfer) programs (see http://www.nsf.gov/eng/iip/sbir/). The meeting will be held in the Museum of the Rockies Hager Auditorium from 1:30 – 3:00 pm.
NSF is one of the larger of 11 federal agencies participating in the $2.2 billion SBIR/STTR program, with an annual SBIR/STTR budget of nearly $120 million. In Montana, each year about two dozen innovative companies and start-ups win roughly $10 million in SBIR/STTR funding, often leading to successful new products and creation and growth of substantial technology companies.
TechLink provides highly effective assistance to companies for winning SBIR and STTR, including shared grants of up to $1,000 to companies and university researchers just for partnering on these proposals, with such collaborations being the biggest factor in winning SBIR awards.
