Northwestern Energy CEO talks future of energy in South Dakota

As Sioux Falls and South Dakota continue to grow, demands for more electricity and power will also grow.
That’s something that Northwestern Energy and Black Hills Corp. were thinking when they merged back in August of 2025.
Northwestern Energy President and CEO Brian Bird talked about the merger and what it meant for South Dakota at Monday’s Rotary meeting in Sioux Falls.
Right now, both companies are working on ways to bring cleaner energy to all South Dakotans.
