The Human Resource Development Council started a financial literacy program in the summer of 2019 which has attracted dozens of participants, organizers say.
The Financial Opportunity Center is one of two in a rural community, according HRDC officials.
The program is funded by LISC, a New York City nonprofit that has poured millions into similar programs across the country.
